Previously, Tony was Vice President Operations for Marina Bay Sands, Vice President Operations for the Jumeirah Group based in Singapore where he built teams and a culture to achieve the company’s objectives. He also successfully re-launched and repositioned the Marina Mandarin, Singapore as a renowned 5 star Leading Hotel of the World after a $45 million renovation (2005-2008).
Prior to this, he repositioned the Royal Meridien King Edward Hotel in Toronto and took it through its historic 100th anniversary and developed a $30 million renovation and expansion plan.
Tony has over 30 years of extensive experience at the hotel, regional and corporate levels both in Sales & Marketing and Operations. Following 10 years with Four Seasons, he joined Le Meridien Group with 12 years in Asia Pacific as Vice President of Sales & Marketing and 3 years in London Headquarters with CEO Bernard Lambert as Worldwide Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

General Manager @ General Manager for the 1.77 Hectares mixed use development by Hiap Hoe Properties comprising 2 hotels with the Days Hotel (405 rooms opening December 2012), the Ramada (384 Rooms opening March 2013), 9,800 sqm of Grade A office space, 2,400 sqm of F&B outlets,1,580 sqm of retail space. From December 2011 to Present (3 years 11 months) SingaporeHospitality Consultant @ From November 2009 to March 2012 (2 years 5 months) PhuketVice President-Hotel Operations @ To plan and oversee the pre-opening of the 7.6 billion largest hotel property in Singapore with over 2500 rooms and 13 Food & Beverage outlets. Recruit and supervise the Senior Management team and 3,000 employees for Hotel Operations, which includes Resort wide Food and Beverage, Rooms and Guest Services, Housekeeping, Transportation and Logistics, Sky Park Operations, Call Centre and Project Management. From March 2009 to November 2009 (9 months) Vice President, Asia Pacific @ Direct and oversee the new Singapore Regional Corporate Offices with 15 Executives/ Sales Staff to develop the Jumeirah Brand, hotel openings and operations in Asia Pacific. From March 2008 to March 2009 (1 year 1 month) General Manager @ Plan and oversee the $40 million renovation and re-launch of this 575 room hotel from a 4 star to a 5 star luxury hotel.
This also included the successful reopening on schedule. (September 2005), repositioning the hotel in the 5 Star competitive set and achieving record profitability in the first year of opening (2006), the best in the hotel’s 20 year history and a further 36% GOP growth in 2007 From March 2005 to January 2008 (2 years 11 months) General Manager @ Responsible for this luxury hotel with 296 rooms and the only Leading Hotel of the World in Toronto. Successfully directed this hotel with 300 staff and over $25 million in revenue through its 100th year anniversary.
Initiated and was awarded the first plaque award of Historical Significance to the City of Toronto and Ontario by Ontario Heritage Foundation (The first for a hotel in Ontario), growing the importance and asset value of the property.
Achieved over 468 million PR impressions and $4 million in value to the hotel and over 70% of the Americas objectives. Developed a $35 million expansion plan to unquestionably deliver a world class 460 room 5-star hotel and with $40 million in revenues. Maintained and grew profit conversion ratios and cash flow despite the odds 2001-2003, reputedly the best in Toronto, Ontario.
