💼 Past Experience

Infatuation with information technology started with Batalla at age 15. He originally worked in the accounting department of a small town in Argentina. But due to the unrest in the country, he decided to move to the States to study business at college. When he finished his degree, heve decided to move back to Argentina and work as an accountant. However, he again decided to move to the States to pursue his dream of pursuing an engineering degree and worked at a local company for two years. batalla next decided to pursue an engineering degree at a major university in the States- this time at California State University, San huge. However, due to the recession, he was let go from his job and decided to move back to Argentina to work as an accountant. BATalla then decided to pursue a M.S. in computer science from the University of Buenos Aires. However, once he finished his degree, he decided to move back to the States and work as a systems administrator at a local company. He next decided to pursue a Ph.D. in computer science from UCLA. However, again, he decided to move back to Argentina to work as a systems administrator at another local company. He then decided to pursue a B.S. in computer science from the University of San Leandro.But it was when he was working as a systems administrator at a local company that he first started to learn about information technology. He made the acquaintance of a co-worker who was working on a project to convert the company’s website to a better platform for the technology and graphic designers working for the company. After talking to this co-worker, Batalla decided to learn more about information technology and start his own project to convert the website to a better platform. He then decided to move up the Associates ladder at the local company and started work as a systems administrator.After leaving the local company, Batalla moved to South San Francisco and started working as a systems administrator at ENT Networks Inc. He there met another co-worker who was working on a project to upgrade the company’s email server. After talking to this co-worker, Batalla decided to learn more about email servers and start his own project to upgrade the company’s email server. And so it went with his projects- beginning with his project to upgrade the company’s email server. He then went on to work as a systems administrator at SourceHOV from May 2008 to August 2010, where he met his current wife.After a period of time where he worked remotely, Batalla decided to move back to San Leandro and take a position as systems administrator at the City of San Leandro. There, he met his current wife who was working as a customer service representative at the company. The two of them decided to move back to San Leandro to start a family. Batalla also took a position as theacting CTO and Head of Innovation & IT at the City of San Leandro from March 1, 2019 to March 1, 2019.Overall, Batalla has experience working in the following fields: information technology, engineering, customer service, and technology.
