💼 Past Experience

When Tom McCracken was younger he played video games all day. As he got older, he realized that working on computers all day wasn't giving him the same feeling of accomplishment that he got from playing video games. That's when Tom decided to switch to the computer side of things. He got a job at a local computer store and began working on networks and programming. Tom decided that he wasn't going to be aoko anymore and decided to switch to web development.Tom began his web development coursework at NC State in the fall of 1998. He was thrilled to find out that he loved web development so much that he decided to switch to it full-time. Tom continued his web development coursework at NC State through fall of 2000,Winter 2001, and Spring 2002. Tom graduated from NC State with his B.S. in Computer Science in December 2002.Tom has been working as a web developer for the past three years. At this point in his career, Tom has been involved in a variety of projects. Tom has worked on developing web applications and components, front-end development, user experience, andcallback frameworks. Tom has also taught himself how to useFrameworks such as PHP, HTML, and CSS.Tom has found that he enjoys working with Linux and is especially proud of his work on the IVR Resources project. He has found that working with Linux has given him a great sense of independence and control over his project. He also enjoys working with teams and is confident that he can take on any project that is put in front of him.Tom would like to say thank you to his family and friends for supporting him through his work experience. In October 1993, Tom McCracken completed his undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Business Administration. After his graduation, Tom immediately began his professional journey by joining the corporate world as a level-three executive in marketing.Tom has enjoyed diverse experiences in the corporate world and has learned a great deal from those he's worked with. He is confident that his skills and experiences will serve him well as he moves forward in his career. Tom is currently senior vice president for marketing for a leading software company.Tom McCracken is extremely satisfied with his education and experiences. The most recent stage of Tom's career happened when he worked as a Director at LevelTen Design, which is a company that specializes in designing software products and services. Tom has also been an Open Source Developer at several different companies, as well as a Content Strategist and UX Designer. Tom's experience in the software industry focuses on developing software products for the Internet, as well as speaking to various industries about this technology. Additionally, Tom has been a Product Owner for multiple software projects, and has been responsible for building, leading, and maintaining the quality of the software products.
