I served as Vice President of Unified Communications Solutions with one of East Bay’s fastest growing companies. My role was primarily a sales and business development position with responsibility for maintaining and building relationships with the company’s largest accounts. In this role, maintaining quota was a primary responsibility as was networking, partnering, and developing new business contacts. Additional responsibility included working with Consultants and RFP response.
Earlier, as Director of Operations for the firm, my efforts were instrumental in building an Operations team of technicians that supported over 500 customers; achieving the top 10% nationwide in customer satisfaction every year surveyed. In the early days of the company, I was directly responsible for hands on installation of the solutions we sold. From January 2005 to July 2012 (7 years 7 months) Sales Manager - Operations Manager - Engineer @ Prologic was a Mitel authorized Partner with revenue in the $3-$5 Million Range. Our core competencies included voice communications with a focus in leading edge VoIP technology, contact center, and data networking. Their customers included city and county government, K-12 school districts, higher education, and both private and public enterprise accounts.
For two years, as Sales Manager I was also responsible for all solution design, engineering, RFP response, and solution presentation. In this role, my primary responsibilities were supporting the sales team and ensuring our solutions were technically superior to our competition.
My initial role was as a Telecommunications Engineer primarily responsible for installing and maintaining our Mitel portfolio of products and services - technically certified on all of the Mitel products we supported as well as Microsoft and Cisco solutions. During the expansion of the company from Sacramento to the Bay Area it was necessary for me to assume some Operations Management responsibilities. From May 1998 to December 2004 (6 years 8 months) Desktop Support Engineer @ As a Telecommunications Technician and Desktop Support Specialist, My group supported a network of 8 Mitel SX-2000 PBXs and a 150 seat Call Center. I was the primary desktop support person for the 500 users in the Bay Area. From January 1997 to May 1998 (1 year 5 months) AE1 (AW/NAC) @ During my second tour in the Navy, while assigned as an instructor, I taught helicopter flight systems and characteristics to Aircrewman and Pilots. As a key player in the integration of the Navy and Marine Corp training units into a single training squadron during Military downsizing of the mid 90’s, I was responsible for curriculum development and evaluation.
During my first tour, I served as a Quality Assurance flight evaluator. While working in the Aircraft Electricians shop, I was assigned as a Quality Assurance Representative and inspected Aircraft Electrical systems for proper maintenance. I served in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm. From 1989 to 1997 (8 years)
