Built a continuous delivery pipeline bringing automated end-to-end traceability of all development work from line of code to production deployable. Designed and implemented an iOS automated build and test environment, enabling full control and QA of 3rd-party developed mobile apps by the Capco delivery team. From November 2014 to Present (1 year 2 months) London, United KingdomDevOps Team Lead @ Led a team of SMEs in a technical role to raise Visa’s development capabilities and enabled them to deliver V.me - Visa’s digital wallet. Incepted 5 years ago, initially outsourced then brought back in-house, V.me required Visa to drastically overhaul its software development processes to deliver a consumer-facing web product. Reduced operating expenditure by implementing new, scaleable delivery infrastructure based on OpenStack, CoreOS and Docker, bringing dev and test environments back in-house and off an IBM platform. Reduced test time on integrating features from two days to minutes by introducing Git, a modern ALM toolset, continuous integration and continuous delivery to test environments. Worked strategically with development teams to move away from major releases and to continuous improvement, accelerating releases from six-monthly to weekly. From September 2013 to November 2014 (1 year 3 months) Development Lead @ Having forged good relationships with development teams in my release and deployment work I joined the RWE Global Credit (RGC) team as development lead. RGC was a project within RWEST Risk bringing a global perspective on credit risk to RWE AG; extending their market risk system, GloRi, to provide a solution for credit risk analysis. I analysed trading and credit risk data from RWE group companies across Europe and headed a team designing and building a high-performance .NET/Oracle system for data extraction, calculation and transformation to a data warehouse. We produced business intelligence reports for RWE’s risk management teams to assess and manage credit and market exposures. A wide-ranging role encompassing stakeholder management, team leadership, analysis, design and implementation. From January 2012 to May 2013 (1 year 5 months) DevOps Release & Deployment Lead @ Led a team in a hands-on role bringing development, configuration and release management best practices to development teams across the Risk business domain at RWE Supply & Trading - Europe's largest energy trader with trading floors in Germany, London, Den Bosch and Geneva. I delivered this work schedule as hands-on development manager for a team of Charteris senior and principal technologists and contract developers ahead of GAME’s most successful Christmas period online to date. Building on 2007 achievements, we expanded the team to deliver a globalised, white-labeled, multi-channel ecommerce system for GAME’s territories and partners around the world.
