From July 2011 to November 2012 (1 year 5 months) Norcross, Ga.southeast marketing @ Sun Microsystems To increase awareness of Sun's growing presence in the computer hardware market. Attended trade shows, seminars, and product release affairs. Coordinated product introduction to the exploding computer hardware market. Held informational press release/meet and greet "get togethers" on integrating up and coming software w/ our progressive and ground breaking hardware. From 1987 to 1991 (4 years) various @ Quadram Started in credit/collections and quickly moved to inside sales. I was very successful in sales and subsequently moved to outside sales and marketing. I traveled quite a bit to California (Silicon Valley and Huntington Beach) to our major accounts (Micro D, FA Components, etc.). Became well versed in computer hardware ease. Was then groomed to participate in trade shows, seminars, and symposiums. Spoke on Quadram's behalf @ Comdex in Atlanta and Las Vegas. Quadram's parent company Intelligent Systems (owned by Leland Strange) decided that Quadram was to be "phased out". I wasn't included in any of the frequent lay offs, but was offered a position @ an up and coming Sun Microsystems. From 1985 to 1987 (2 years) Manager/Norcross Branch @ Arch Aluminum & Glass Manage operations, sales, shipping, billing, forecasting, and overall flow of daily/monthly activities. Perform outside sales and marketing in the Atlanta area north to South Carolina. Recruit inclusion w/ architects, contractors, and bid submittals. Encourage participation in new product releases or pilot programs promoted by Arch.I guess you could say I'm the cameleon that can wear many hats.
