Timothy Polk Taft hasrosse experience with Carrols Restaurant Group and their subsidiaries Taco Cabana and Pollo Tropical. Taft also has experience with Disney World and the Texas legislature. Taft is also an accomplished cook and established himself as a leading general manager. Taft drove a fast food chain from 500 to $1.5 million in 44 quarters. Taft's management alumni have gone on to hold some of the most significant positions in other public companies.

- M.A. in Comparative Religion from The University of Texas at Austin in 1984- continued his education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his J.D. in 1988.- Taft clerked for the United States District Court for the District of Arizona and then the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals.- From 1999 to 2002, Taft served as a law clerk to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.- Taft has been a law professor at The University of Texas at Austin since 2002.Though he's just entered the law professoriate, Taft has already shown his ability to offer classes that are engaging and influential. In one course, he offers a brief introduction to the concept of Stand Your Ground Laws, and how they can be misunderstood. Taft's teaching style ensures that each student makes the most of their time, and he clearly passionate about his subject.Though Taft is young, he has already shown himself to be an expert in the legal field. During my time at law school, Taft made vast contributions to my understanding of the law. He's not only an excellent professor, but he's also a great friend. I'm very grateful to have him as my legal teacher.
