Development Operations Engineer @ Working on a team to automate all manual processes, including automatic build/testing/deployment of new code revisions as well as full provisioning of new instances in AWS that are ready to start working as soon as they boot with no manual post install configuration needed. Once completed, it will be one of the most complete, and hands off systems ever. This will allow our developers to focus more on code specific to our application, rather than the underlying system configuration. This will also ensure that all systems are configured exactly the same which will ease trouble-shooting, and ensure security policies are upheld throughout. From April 2014 to Present (1 year 7 months) Wayne, PaSenior Unix Systems Administrator @ • Ensured that the highest level of standardization, and automation were adhered to, and attempted to bring about/foster change companywide through my own actions and proven results.
• Worked on a team that allowed us to collaborate and thus ensure that all aspects of a project were covered. This allowed for us to provide a solution, a standard of practice, workflows, or a method for automation, which passed all sanity, and logical checks, before being accepted. Thus we were able to come up with some truly amazing solutions that were better than simply doing things because they were 'what everyone else is doing now'.
