I specialise in creative commercial master planning for mixed-use urban schemes such as my work on Westfield Stratford and Westfield London, stand-alone shopping centres such as Sandton’s, Nelson Mandela Square in Johannesburg and Landbridge Shopping Centre in Abu Dhabi as well as integrated transport-retail airports and railway stations as in my work in Cologne Bonn Airport and the retail refurbishment of Italy’s, Roma Termini. Experience. I have rounded experience from working across the UK with the Westfield Group, designing a variety of projects in the UK and southern Europe with Broadway Malyan Architects. Also at Portland, I worked all over the Middle East, South Africa and Europe, notably the design guidelines from Inter IKEA’s European centres. Being artistic by nature, I have excellent drawing abilities, three-dimensional thinking and a thorough approach to creative design. From March 2014 to Present (1 year 10 months) Senior Designer @ Key Projects Hamar Stadion Centre Dubai Airport Koln-Bonn Airport Dubai Pearl Centre Saadiyat Landbridge Centre Dusseldorf Airport I design and develop retail schemes, be they community serving high-street offers in new urban schemes or vast city-wide retail strategies encompassing vast shopping malls and multiple leisure destinations. I have extensive airport experience delivering customer-focused retail environments that complement the airport operations and security requirements. At Portland I used market research to identify the most appropriate price-positioning and tenant composition for new centres as well masterplanning appropriate customer environments. From January 2009 to March 2014 (5 years 3 months) Concept Designer @ Key projects Westfield London- on a number of internal and external projects. Westfield Stratford City- masterplanning, public spaces and elevational treatments and all non-retail site feasibility studies. As a Concept Architect I worked to evolve briefs as derived by Development and Leasing departments; I had to respond to the needs of Costing and Construction to deliver highly complex mixed-use architectural schemes. As part of my role I also supported the development officers with managing external design consultants. From March 2006 to December 2009 (3 years 10 months) Part II Architect @ Key Projects MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre Digbeth Place Residential Scheme Costco Wholesale Retailer role out At this international practice I was involved in numerous projects spanning a broad range of sectors, from detailing residential schemes, delivering out-of-town retail parks to designing complex mixed-use schemes all across Europe.
