As I approach my 5 year anniversary with Coca-Cola, I have accepted a new role leading a team of five colleagues to procure metal, paper and glass for Coca-Cola's North America volumes. Our team is responsible for contract negotiation, supply continuity, OE projects and supplier relationship management. Currently, we are preparing for the first-ever global can and can sheet bid - as the company seeks to better coordinate its procurement and partnerships in its global supply chain. Previously, I was the Director, Metal and Energy Risk Management. I was offered this role during the acquisition of CCE (the Coke system's largest bottler) by Coke North America. I was responsible for hedging the price risk of aluminum, diesel and gasoline.The total commodity exposure is a billion dollars annually. Previously, I worked in the finance department where I concentrated on price optimization. While price optimization can mean many things, in my case, it meant ensuring Coke had rational pricing across the geographies and channels where we go to business. In 2005, I helped found Catalyst Energy, entering Georgia's deregulated natural gas market in 2006. When we sold Catalyst in the fall of 2008, we had a customer base topping 35,000. Prior to Catalyst, I worked at AGL Resources - the parent company of Atlanta Gas Light and several other utilities along the East coast. I came to AGL Resources from Mirant, where I worked as a Senior Analyst on the Northeast desk - managing the daily operations of 1500 MWs of generation in New York and New England. Mirant was my first job after graduating Beta Gamma Sigma from Emory's Goizueta Business School with a concentration in Finance. In what seems like a prior life, fresh with an English degree from Yale, I worked as an Executive Producer for CNN - managing a newsroom of writers, producers and copy editors.

In addition, my team procures paperboard used in Coca-Cola's fridge packs and the corrugate that aids in protecting our goods during transit. Spend under contract is greater than $2 billion. Total exposure approaches $1 billion - driven principally by aluminum where the annual North American spend on can sheet is close to $700 million. From November 2010 to November 2013 (3 years 1 month) Senior Manager, Price Architecture @ I am focused against sparkling soft drinks and am responsible for leading initiatives including the coordination of pricing processes. I work closely with the Category and Channel Commercialization teams, BU Managers of Price Execution and Directors of Price Strategy. From June 2009 to November 2010 (1 year 6 months) SVP, Operations @ Responsible for managing the daily operations of the company - from call center optimization to natural gas hedging - most tactical, day to day decisions fall under my purview. From 2005 to October 2008 (3 years) Senior Analyst, Capacity Planning @ Responsible for optimizing the storage and transportation assets for AGLR's 7 utilities.
