KNOWHOW is seen internally as the most exciting brand launched by Dixons since the birth of PC World and recently won the 2012 Retail Week Customer Service Initiative Of The Year Award as well as the 2012 Marketing Magazine Design Award. I have previously launched a new brand proposition for Virgin Retail including a new pricing policy on Chart and Range which achieved an increase in market share from 8% to 10.5%; the introduction of Virgin’s 1st loyalty scheme supported by full CRM capability and EDLP at Comet Group which led to a 3% increase in market share to 14%.Marketing & E Commerce Director @ Am leading the transformation of the customer offer including product, merchandising, in store execution, look & feel as well as overhauling the customer experience programme. From July 2011 to Present (4 years 6 months) Head Of Marketing @ Relaunched the Service arm of the Group by creating KNOWHOW - seen as of strategic importance and instrumental in terms of transforming the profitability of the Company.KNOWHOW is currently delivering £500m sales and £280m margin [sales uplift of 40% versus pre launch period] and has been created from compelling insight, a market leading proposition,an amazing customer experience & a stunning brand identity, all of which I have led & managed KNOWHOW scope included insight, brand name, proposition development, range, pricing, operational engagement, brand architecture, brand identity, tone of voice/language, customer experience and communications plan.I developed & oversaw the customer & marketing strategy for KNOWHOW including Insight, Brand identity, Customer Experience, Advertising, Media Planning, On line experience, Merchandising, POS, CRM, PPC, SEO, PR and Sales Promotion. From May 2007 to July 2011 (4 years 3 months) Hemel Hempstead, United KingdomHead of Marketing @ Initiated, researched and launched a new Brand positioning which led to an increase in share from 8% to 10.5%Introduced a new Chart offer and relaunched the CD and DVD Range proposition to an EDLP platform which led to an increase in share by 3% to 12.5%.Developed and oversaw a new Media strategy which lead to an increase in impacts/reach of 18% against a budget reduction of 25%. Achieved a dramatic improvement in the profitability of the commercial Marketing function which, through effective Supplier Ratecards, led to a £1.2m net profit from a loss of £1.6m during the previous year.Developed and oversaw the strategies for Brand Marketing, Advertising, Media, New Media, Sales Promotion, CRM, Research, Local Marketing, In Store Broadcast, Virgin and Identified and prioritised key consumer segments and put in place new initiatives to ensure Virgin Megastores was the Retailer of choice From 2004 to 2007 (3 years) Senior Marketing Manager @ Led and managed successful repositioning of the business from Video to DVD, resulting in a market share of 52% on DVD Rental (compared with Video Rental at 32%). Launched new Rental offer including extended rental periods, pricing and devised a new strategy for the back catalogue. This led to a 3% yoy market share increase. Managed all Marketing Communications and accountable for the creation and implementation of new Marketing strategies to help fulfill business objectives.Including Advertising, Media, Research, Local Marketing, In Store Marketing & Merchandising, PR, Cause Related Marketing and 3rd Party Promotions. From April 2000 to October 2003 (3 years 7 months) Senior Marketing Consultant @ Achieved greater integration between National and Local Marketing communications.Reviewed marketing programmes with a view to making the process more uniform/formulaic.
