Thomas Starks is a native of Olympia,Washington and a transplant to Seattle. Starks started his career back in the '80s as a music reviewer for the Seattle Times. He then moved to the music industry, working in restaurants and print media before landing his first big break in 1995 as a music producer and music director for the nonprofit Walker of Edges. The nonprofit distributed canned goods to low-income families in Seattle and Thomas Starks quickly became known for his award-winning music production and musicdirection. From there, he moved into the music industry as a Full-time Music Producer and Music Director with his own company, Starks Media Productions, LLC. In 2013, Thomas was promoted to Managing Member of the company. In November of 2016, Starks was named Press Secretary for the Urban Financial Coalition Services-Puget Sound Chapter. Thomas's work expands beyond music production to include marketing and communications, having been responsible for creating and executing marketing and communications strategies for a variety of businesses, including urban financial coalitions, homeless shelters, and local schools. Thomas is a nationally experienced music expert with over 20 years of experience in music production, marketing, and communications. He has a degree in Business Administration from Seattle Pacific University and is proficient in English, Spanish, and German.
