Then I lead the data mining and geo-marketing initiatives at Apple Europe, the Data team at IsCool Entertainment, and helped qunb growing its data store. From April 2012 to October 2012 (7 months) Paris Area, FranceData Team Manager @ I am currently running the data team at IsCool Entertainment, a French leading social gaming company. I am trying to make sense out of our huge dataset to understand the key drivers of virality, engagement and monetization using analytical, data mining and visualization techniques. My duties include creating reports and dashboards or building predictive models to support day-to-day operations, enhancing the data infrastructure, growing and managing the data team (2 analysts currently), and setting up all the processes and workflows to make IsCool Entertainment a more data-driven company. From August 2010 to March 2012 (1 year 8 months) CRM Intelligence & Data Mining Manager @ My role at Apple was about supporting sales and marketing initiatives across all channels, geos, and lines of business. My main focus was the conception, development and deployment of a spatial analytics platform, merging and modelling various data to support the distribution strategy, allowing end-users to access and share location intelligence. The data was also used to predict sales potential of different sites. Apart from this, I also had the occasion to work on a wide variety of customer insights projects for the key product lines (iPhone, Mac, iPod) and lines of business (Consumer, Pro, Education): profiling, segmentation, route-to-market / channel analysis, fraud detection… Other duties included designing and developing a customer dashboard, working closely with US teams to enhance analytical and data warehousing infrastructure, and training junior analysts on various methods and technologies. From September 2008 to August 2010 (2 years) Paris Area, FranceSenior Data Mining Consultant @ As a member of the Catalina Insights team, my main objectives was to create and promote analytical solutions to help our European retail clients developing a really deep understanding of their customers purchase patterns and habits, and improving their CRM strategy. I was instrumental in building the Customer Insights offerings, which uses several clustering and predictive models to increase value at every stage of the customer lifecycle. I defined the algorithms, automated the generation of models, and helped selling these solutions at clients meetings. I also worked on several internal projects related to the campaign management support: design of experiment, list pulling, selection of holdout samples, impact analysis using generalized linear models, integration of SAS jobs within Unica Affinium using shell scripting, report automation. From October 2003 to April 2006 (2 years 7 months) Paris Area, FranceRisk Analyst @ I joined Banque PSA Finances as a risk analyst intern to refresh a credit score model used by the Portuguese subsidiary for used cars. I had the occasion to cover the following steps : audit of the previous model, creation of the dataset, data exploration, data cleansing (outliers detection, missing value imputation), creation of derived data, train/test samples drawing, benchmark of different modelling methods (logistic regression, decision trees, neural networks), selection of best model (lift & ROC curves, Gini, KS..), and creation of a scorecard. From June 2003 to September 2003 (4 months) Research Analyst @ My position at Groupama Sud was about measuring customer satisfaction, as well as trying to identify ways to improve satisfaction. I performed specific surveys for regional teams: built questionnaires, supervised operational execution, entered data into Excel, ran statistical analyses (cross tabs, bootstrapping, “composite index” creation), and presented results to management.
