McCarthy has a Background in Accounting and a concentration in Hispania - the countries in the Iberian Peninsula. He began his career as a customer service representative at local accounting company, En Pointe, where he worked for three years. After leaving En Pointe, McCarthy moved on to work in strategic accounts at DEC in Boston, MA. There, he managed customer service, reported to the regional managing accountant, and worked with our three sales offices. In his last position, McCarthy was responsible for account management for three strategic accounts: Compaq, HP and DEC.In January 2004, McCarthy moved to HP and worked as an account executive for customer service and several customer support areas. His work in these positions included customer interactions with customers of all types - desktop/laptop/server, notebook, and embedded systems. He also managedsend and receive processes, billed and PROMdit invoices, and conducted data mining and analysis to discover customer needs. McCarthy is proud to have been a part of HP's growth team, which was responsible for world-class customer service and relentless innovation.In October 2009, McCarthy joined DEC as a strategic accounts mainframe Midwest Regional Sales Manager. his job was to grow sales for DEC's primary customer, HP. In this position, McCarthy was responsible for making sales for new and expanding customers, developing new products and services for customer, and growing support teams. He was also responsible for developing partnerships with other technology companies and collaborating with HP's global sales force.In March 2011, McCarthy left DEC to become a Regional Sales Manager at BMC Software. At BMC Software, McCarthy was responsible for the sales and marketing of software products and services to a national customer base. McCarthy was also responsible for managing the technical and sales teams and making decisions that helped get products to market and achieve customer success. In his time at BMC Software, McCarthy was also a Growth Specialist.
