Currently working on my PhD at Rutgers University. My research focus is in Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Robotics. I work at the Center for Biomedical Imaging and Modeling (CBIM) at Rutgers University headed by Professor Dimitri Metaxas. Within CBIM, I am working with Professor Ahmed Elgammal on building novel Computer Vision algorithms surrounding the challenging problem
Currently working on my PhD at Rutgers University. My research focus is in Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Robotics. Within CBIM, I am working with Professor Ahmed Elgammal on building novel Computer Vision algorithms surrounding the challenging problem of 2D/3D Object Recognition. I have multiple publications at top conferences (and more to come :)).
I have ~4 years of industry experience as a software engineer and have interned at Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, Siemens Corporate Research, Carnegie Mellon - Robotics Institute and Telcordia Technologies (acquired by Ericsson).
I have extensive experience in Software Engineering; in C/C++, Java, Python, C#, Theano, OpenCV, OpenGL, Point Cloud Library (PCL), Robotic Operating System (ROS), Java and UML. I am proficient in algorithm design and problem-solving. I am experienced in cross-disciplinary research.
Before starting my PhD, I did a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science with a minor in Electronics.
Additional interests: Im deeply interested in Space Exploration and one of my future goals is to build robust visual intelligence for robotic explorers and space technology.

- Researched, developed and tested a visual intelligent system for autonomous obstacle avoidance of airboat robot vehicles. The system was based on monocular vision using a smartphone camera and was optimized for smartphone capability. The system was based on optical-flow, trajectory clustering and reflection detection.
