I have had an amazing professional journey at Bloomberg. I started right out of college on our Analytics desk, helping customers solve any conceivable issue they might have trading a stock, pricing a bond, valuing a derivative, and more. I was then presented an opportunity to sit on site with one of our largest customers (and one of the largest banks in the world), supporting our trading system platform, and learning how the bond markets really work. I had a front row seat as I learned our customer workflow, and the critical role the Bloomberg terminal and products play in helping to bring transparency to ever changing, and increasingly complicated financial markets. It was a somewhat obvious career step for me to head back to our Bloomberg offices and spend time working with our brilliant technologists to design functionality that would further support our mission to help answer any question a Bloomberg customer might have, even if they don’t know they should be asking it.
As I grew over the years, so did BLP, and there were many opportunities for me to take on leadership responsibilities. I have run two businesses at Bloomberg, launched a Career Development initiative at the request of our Chairman and CEO, and served as the Chief of Staff for Bloomberg’s Industry Verticals, a division that focuses on bringing transparency through quality data, analytics, and research to the legal, government, and clean energy markets.
And now I have the great honor and privilege of leading our efforts around talent acquisition and development. Our people differentiate our company and the products and services we provide. Our people make Bloomberg great. My job is to work with an all-star team to continue to bring in phenomenal talent, and develop, grow and engage that talent so our company can continue to be dynamic and responsive to the world around us.
