Suze Yalof Schwartz was born in California in 1966 to ski parents. When she was just 12, her parents enrolled her in the conservatory of music in Southern California. She then attended the Juilliard School of music in New York City, where she graduated with a degree in music education in 1990. After Juilliard, Schwartz moved to New York City to become an assistant publicist at Giorgio Armani. She covered the market for Armani accessories from 1994 to 1996. She also worked as an accessories director at Marie Claire from then until 1997, when she left to become founder/CEO of Unplug Meditation.Since starting Unplug Meditation in 2007, Suze Yalof Schwartz has helped millions of people relax through TM cultivation, education and practice. Her products, including the Unplug Meditation App and the Unplug Meditation Course, have been featured on Glamour, Today Show, CBS Early Show, and Full Frontal Fashion. Schwartz has also written books on TM and relaxation, and has appeared on numerous talk shows, includingabc’s 7:30 report, Martha Stewart Living, Glamour, The View, and More. She has also been the keynote speaker at a number of wellness events, including the TEDx LA meeting, the Lift Games, and the Angelprint Workshop. In 2008, Schwartz won a prestigious Stroud Award in the category of “ Women in Communications.” In her acceptance speech, she said, “I am grateful for the Stroud Award and I work hard every day to make sure that Unplug Meditation and the Unplug Meditation App help peopleretrieve their peace of mind.”

I've always had an idea of what I want and what I want to do, and I'm very organized. I also have a strong interest in the arts, so being able to combine these two things into a career has been a natural for me. My father was a successful television producer, so I know how to make things happen.I have always been very interested in education and have been studying and working in it ever since I finished high school. I was a student at La Sorbonne Paris from 1987 to 1988, where I studied Fine Arts and French. I then went on to study at Simmons College in 1985-1989, where I earned my B.A. degree in Fine Arts and French. In addition, I also had Somerville College in 1994-1996, where I obtained an M.A. degree in Education. After completing my education, I worked as a high school prep teacher for three years before I started my own private daycare business in 1998. I then became a kindergarten teacher for four years before I started my own elementary school in 2002. I am currently a kindergarten teacher for two years at the elementary school I founded."
