📖 Summary
I am interested in studying and solving Computer Science problems primarily in the domain of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing. Although my interests lean towards back-end problems, I have some experience with front-end design. I am a fast learner and have a strong drive to get things done.Senior Software Engineer, Data Science @ We build tools to deliver actionable insights for our users to guide them towards healthier decisions. My role spans the entire spectrum of the data pipeline - right from infrastructure to products. * Infrastructure & ETL Optimizations - Built large portions of the Jawbone analytics infrastructure pipeline which is used across the company for all reporting and exploratory data analysis requirements. Reduced Redshift disk usage by 30%, and optimized our ETL pipelines saving thousands of dollars a month in AWS EMR costs. * Smart Coach - Deliver smart, timely insights to users to motivate them to towards a healthy lifestyle. Built the infrastructure to support quick iterations of potential Smart Coach facts. From November 2014 to Present (1 year 2 months) Software Engineer @ * Responsible for building and scaling systems to extract key performance indicators out of large scale unstructured data. * Designed and built large portions of the intelligence pipeline that provide our customers actionable insights for driving up product revenue. * Developed heuristic based approaches to categorize entities from chatter into logical topic buckets. From October 2012 to October 2014 (2 years 1 month) Associate Software Engineer @ * Helped architect the mini-game framework within Zynga's Cafe World * Worked on Lemon Cart, the first Cafe World minigame. From July 2012 to August 2012 (2 months) Bengaluru Area, IndiaSoftware Engineering Intern @ Projects: * Worked on the front-end design for music shares and listens. * Built the index and typeahead for the searching of music content on Facebook through the search bar. Side projects included working on Facebook's login/logout flow and developing an understanding of the translation engine used to translate the website. From May 2011 to August 2011 (4 months) Visiting Researcher @ See ICMC publication below. From May 2010 to August 2010 (4 months) Winter Intern @ My internship involved a study of the Indian SME sector with emphasis on the efficiency of climate change initiatives set up by the Govt. of India for this set of industries. In addition to this, I also played a pivotal role in assisting GTZ organize the International Roundtable for Environmentally Sound Management of End-of-Life Electronics. From November 2009 to January 2010 (3 months) New Delhi Area, IndiaProgram Verification and Symbolic Execution @ The objective of this study was to gain appreciation of Symbolic Execution concepts, and, subsequently, to implement an automated test-case-generation application which takes a program as input and generates test case inputs that will maximize coverage of the program (using a Symbolic Execution Tree, on a program written in FUDGE). In this study, I designed a toy programming language (FUDGE) and implemented a compiler for it using the .Net Framework. The FUDGE language consists of a fairly exhaustive set of data types with associated type checking, arithmetic/boolean expressions, as well as conditional/iterative (if, for, while) statements. The compiler consists of a scanner, a rudimentary parser, optimizer and code generator. For a compiled program written in FUDGE, the Symbolic Execution Tree would consequently traverse all possible code paths and generate sets of input values to ensure that all program paths are tested. Worked under the guidance of Dr. Madhu Gopinathan. From May 2009 to August 2009 (4 months) B.Tech, Computer Engineering @ National Institute of Technology Karnataka From 2008 to 2012 Karnataka Pre-University Board, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics @ FIITJEE From 2006 to 2008 ICSE @ Bishop Cotton Boys' School From 2000 to 2006 Sukrit Mohan is skilled in: Machine Learning, Java, Scala, Spark, Hadoop, Natural Language Processing, SQL, Algorithm Design, Python, jQuery, Akka, MongoDB, Big Data, Algorithms, Git
