WuXi AppTecIndustry is a leading[1] and lightly regulated[2] tech company that specializes in developing, manufacturing, and selling innovative medical products in China and the world. WuXi AppTecIndustry has manufacturing facilities in Chengdu, Shanghai, and Guilin, and commercial operations in Zhuhai, Tianjin, and Wuhan. The company employs over 700 people and manufactures a wide variety of medical products, including such innovation-based products as the Prilosec pill and the All-In-One suction apparatus. WuXi AppTecIndustry was named one of the America’s 500 Fastest Growing Companies in 2005 and was named the Technology Company of the Year in the 2007 inaugural China Technology Awards. From 2006 to 2010, Steve Yang served as CEO of Pfizer, a globalis[3] and leading drug company. At Pfizer, he held a variety of positions, including Vice President, Head of R&D, Asia, where he was responsible for developing new products and strategies for Pfizer’s overseas businesses. In this role, he led Pfizer’s r&d efforts for two products, All-In-One suction apparatus and the Prilosec pill. Under his guidance, Pfizer’s r&d managed to increase sales by more than 50% and reach $19 billion in sales by2013. In his time at Pfizer, he played a fundamental role in the company’s merger and acquisition (M&A) activities, which resulted in the acquisition of two major global players, Roche and Zeneca. This was an important step in Pfizer’s strategy to focus on new product development and strong international expansion. During Steve Yang’s time as CEO of Pfizer, the company also moved its headquarters from Qu Affairs, 25 Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107 to headquarters at the site of the former Pfizer Research Laboratories, 3755 North Sanborn Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60189.SteveYang has also been involved in a number of smaller M&A deals.
