Steve Paik has a variety of experience with aspects of software engineering and has designed and implemented software for developing mobile apps. As a Senior Software Engineer at Alereon, Inc., from August 2009 to December 2012, Paik was responsible for tasks such as implementing UWB WiMedia protocols on ARM9 based chip-sets, designing and implementing wireless mesh networks using WLP protocol, and supporting demonstration and installation of products on-location in China and Korea.Paik also had experience working in the Communications Division under Larry DeVito at Nextwave Broadband, Inc., where he was responsible for writing firmware for low-level SW in our WiMAX ASICs. Paik also worked with high-level SW developers at Quake Global, led a team of 4SW engineers to implement the SW for the new Q4000 modem using FreeRTOS and dynamically linkable customer applications, and architected the FW and evaluated different commercial embedded FFSs.Internally, from June 1995 to January 1998, Paik was a Member of the MIT Electrical Engineering Internship program.
