📖 Summary
Co-founder @ Chronomad Studios, LLC Co-founder and lead software developer.Chronomad Studios is an independent iOS development company focused on product development. Greater Philadelphia AreaSoftware Developer @ Drexel University Member of the primary Web and mobile development team at Drexel University's Information Resources & Technology department. My primary focus since 2010 has been native iOS development. I am the sole iOS developer for the DrexelOne app (averages 10k+ active users/mo.) (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id911455770). I also contributed to the C#/WCF Web API backend design and implementation.Previous notable projects include:- Implemented a Push Notification system using .NET technologies to send notifications to devices running iOS, Android, and Windows Phone operating systems.- Updated a HTTP REST API built on Microsoft WCF technologies to integrate with the SinglePlatform restaurant menu publishing service. This allowed the DrexelOne mobile apps on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone to display restaurant menus in the app for local campus merchants. - Created a podcast encoding and publishing system for lecture materials called DragonDrop. It allows Drexel faculty to upload and transcode their lecture videos or other rich media (e.g. pdf, text, audio, etc) and then publish that material to an automatically generated website and RSS podcast feed for student consumption. It was built using a combination of ASP.NET technologies and Perl scripts that has pieces running on multiple servers. As a co-op, my primary responsibilities were computer lab management and second-tier technical support.Lab management included operating system and software installation via "imaging" software such as Norton Ghost as well as custom scripts to automate configuration and maintenance tasks.I specialized in deploying and maintaining Macintosh OS 9 and OS X computers and wrote various management scripts that continued to be used on lab computers for years after I moved on to other roles.Between co-op cycles, I continued working in the same capacity as described above as a part-time student employee. From September 2001 to June 2004 (2 years 10 months) Web Developer/Network Administrator @ North American Networks Primary PHP Web developer for a small ISP in the Philadelphia suburbs that provided dial-up, DSL, and other connectivity to individuals and small businesses as well as providing custom-built PCs. I Designed and built the website (no longer online), created PHP-based tools for internal systems as well as assembled customers' built-to-order PCs. I also filled a Junior Network Administrator role for internal systems, performing such tasks as DNS maintenance, server backups, and server software installation.
