I serve as the Director of Campus Relations and Talent Outreach for Wal-Mart Stores, Incorporated. I began my career with Walmart in 2002, and since then, has held various positions within the organization’s recruiting function including the role of Senior Recruiter supporting the Information Systems Division, the position of Senior Manager of Temporary Services and Hourly Recruiting,... I serve as the Director of Campus Relations and Talent Outreach for Wal-Mart Stores, Incorporated. Today, I lead a team of seventeen associates dedicated to building key relationships with core higher education institutions, diversity organizations, and internal business partners across the enterprise to make certain the company has maximum access to the best talent available. These efforts have already led to sustainable talent acquisitions gains for the various business units in which my team supports. More specifically, pertaining to my responsibilities, my team manages a robust Internship Program that includes the strategic planning of more than 250 students from prestigious academic institutions nationwide. In addition, I am responsible for the development and implementation of an efficient, business-driven approach to further enhance an already effective diversity recruitment strategy. This strategy has included partnerships with key organizations such as the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, and the Association for Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting. My top priorities as a leader of Campus Relations and Talent Outreach team are to supply the company with the best talent into its various development programs, drive various diversity recruitment initiatives for multiple business units, and to develop the skills and capabilities of the members of my team.
