Stephanie Von Friedeburg's Work Experience:Chief Operating Officer at IFC - International Finance Corporation April 2012 to November 2016Washington D.C. Metro AreaAs the Chief Operating Officer for IFC, Ms. Stephanie von Friedeburg leads all IFC investment operations and advisory services. Her responsibilities include developing new business, managing IFC’s $55 billion debt and equity portfolio, and providing support to IFC’s 404 offices across the globe. In addition to her work at IFC, Ms. von Friedeburg has also spent time at The World Bank Group as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Business Development and as the Regional Director for Africa in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East.Most recently, Ms. von Friedeburg served as IFC’s Chief Strategy and Resources Officer, leading the development of IFC’s new strategy and aligned the organization’s resources in support of it. She has also been responsible for developing the World Bank Group’sas well as the organization’sIT organization to equip the World Bank Group to fight poverty in the 21st century. Stephanie Von Friedeburg's educational background and work readiness is based on her past education and experiences in Russian, Central European, East European and Eurasian Studies, The Lauder Institute, and The Wharton School. Von Friedeburg has since retired from her position as an assistant professor of economics at Rutgers University in New Jersey and has been working as an consultant to private organizations in the Russian and Eurasian economies for the last decade. Von Friedeburg has been working on a book on risk management in the Russian and Eurasian economies for the past two years, and is currently working on a paper on the impact of privatization on economic growth in the Russian and Eurasian economies.
