💼 Past Experience
My work experience in the region operations position at Weight Watchers North America from 2009-2015 was characterized by a variety of responsibilities and events that led to success. One such event was the acquisition of a competing company in 2011. At that time, we were still a small company, and Stacey took on the responsibility of turning around that company, who had declined to make a mergeroffer.Under Stacey’s leadership, our team decided that they would need to close 200 stores to be able to compete with our larger competitor, and they did just that. I was proud to work with her and remember being on the executive committees that made those decisions, and being a part of the company’s growth. I also can remember her representingWeight Watchers on various panels at various stores and events, and how she always communicated powerful messages to her team.Despite our success, it was definitely a challenging time in that we were fighting for our survival as a company. We made a lot of progress, but we were also constantly striving for the greatest possible execution. We were a company of Teams, and Stacey was a leader in developing and maintaining great interpersonal relationships with her team. I learned a lot from her and she taught me a lot about being an effective leader. It was also great being a part of a company that was constantly growing, and developing new products and services. All of the products that we launched during that time were successful, and Learning Curve was a big part of that. I am proud of what we “did” during that time, and we are even more proud of the new products that we are currently working on.The experience of working in the field with Weight Watchers was a great one, and I learned a lot about the company and its culture. I was able to work with a lot of great people, and I managed to get good at customer service. I look forward to my future as a Regional Manager with Weight Watchers, and I thank them for the opportunity to work there.
