🎓 Education

Art/design is Sophy Holland's current professional field. After studying at Bromley High School G.D.S.T., she moves on to Central St Martins, where she obtained a diploma in art / design in September 1999. After a few years of student work, she obtained her MA in Art / Design at the University of the Arts, London in February 2022. During her time working at Central St Martins, Sophy Holland penned some of her most important and renowned pieces of art, such as the graduate exhibition ‘Different Ways’. Here, she used her mediums of art and design to explore the themes of difference, progress and possibility. This was a significant moment for her, as it was her first exhibition with her own studio. Sophy Holland is currently pursuing adoctoral degree in Art / Design at the University of the Arts, London. There she will explore the themes of design and innovation through her research and doctoral dissertation. Sophy Holland's current research focus is on the design process and the Many Faces of Futures. She is also currently working on a project entitled ‘Everyday Adventures’ which investigates the ways in which design can be used to create positive experiences for people on a daily basis.
