Release and Configuration Manager @ I am responsible for leading a CGI Release team that helps deliver IT Services to over 40 countries worldwide. My primary remit is to be responsible for all release activities across the Daimler network while managing a release team consisting of both onshore and offshore resources. It is important that all Tier 2 and Tier 3 changes are maintained to the high levels of quality, standards and operability for over 6000 DFS employees as defined within service level agreements. My role encompasses: - Process Documentation - Release Planning - Build Planning Standards and Execution - Application Configuration - Maintenance and Development of Configuration Management tools. In detail: • Using the Serena Dimensions Configuration Management Tool ensuring the traceability of code, including revision control and application baselining. • Planning and executing the merging strategies into parallel environments and cross affiliate environments. • Chairing weekly release forums for each Daimler affiliate, involving senior stakeholders within both CGI and DFS. This discussed the progress of changes in current releases and determined their future software release requirements to ensure they are aligned correctly with future planned releases. • Planning and rolling out Daimler’s annual release strategy which requires extensive meetings with each Daimler affiliate gathering their requirements and making sure their expectations are in line with those of CGI. • Providing an effective interface between users and service providers; ensuring that priority setting and escalation procedures are applied effectively. • Risk management ensuring that there are no code dependencies within releases or clashes between separate releases happening on the same day. • Process owner for the release deployment strategy. Constantly liaising with the technical deployment, testing and application teams ensuring that the release process is adhered to and consistently meets audit requirements. CGI are responsible for delivering a series of major transformational improvements to upgrade and improve our client’s technology platforms to ensure it leads the way in providing high quality service to its consumers. From January 2014 to June 2014 (6 months) SAP SRM Consultant @ SAP SRM Consultant working on the Kirklee's County Council Project. Responsible for: - SAP SRM & MM Configuration. - Setting up SRM-MDM and Catalog integration. - Producing client documentation which included Transactional User Guides and Initial Test Scripts. - Completing Unit Testing and providing client support throughout System, Integration & UAT Testing of SRM 7.0. - Providing initial training of SRM 7.0 to client. From January 2013 to November 2013 (11 months) SAP Test Manager @ SAP Consultant working as Test Manager across the whole project, managing all Testing carried out by both Logica and the States of Guernsey. Responsible for taking Logica out of Integration Testing and the States of Guernsey out of both Operational and User Acceptance Testing. - Worked closely with the Logica and States of Guernsey project manager's to make sure that progress was being made with testing. - Responsible for setting up and managing the HP Quality Centre testing tool which was used to store all testing information for the project. - Responsible for producing all of the statistics and reports that were used by project management and senior project stakeholders. From June 2012 to December 2012 (7 months) Guernsey, United KingdomSAP SRM Consultant @ SRM Consultant working on the full SAP implementation project for the Guernsey Government. Responsibilities included: - Creating Transactional User Guides and Unit/Integration Test Scripts for SD/AR areas of the project. - Complete the SRM Unit and Integration Testing on the project. - Provide support to the client during Operational Testing and UAT. - Support the CGI SRM Lead across all areas of the project. From November 2011 to September 2012 (11 months) Guernsey, United KingdomJunior Project Manager @ Junior project manager involved in a CGI team, which in turn was central to the largest migration of data ever seen in Europe. Responsibilities included: • Extract Expenses Reports and prepare month end Expenses Invoice Spreadsheets as per the contract stipulation. • Manage resource utilisation and costing across the project. • Requirements gathering and project planning. • Utilised Microsoft Project to plan the roll out of a new process enabling defect fixes to be delivered to the clients business more efficiently. • Stakeholder analysis and production of a matrix to ensure the impacted teams were briefed about the new process. • Conducting the change and release manager role on an ad-hoc basis • Pro-active SLA failure warnings: Identified the Changes that would be failing SLAs in the next 48 hours through Remedy and progressed them to completion. • Diligently and accurately updated key date fields in our Change Management tool Remedy for all open Change Requests.
