QA Engineer @ From June 2015 to Present (7 months) Senior QA Engineer/QA Manager @ Joined the QA team for Validation Authority as a Senior QA engineer and established a structured approach that re-designed the role of QA through early-stage discovery and analysis of defects and in-depth technical verification of defects. Stabilized automation executions and enhanced coverage to a fully automated regression and release testing that lead to consistently predictable release dates.
Promoted to QA Manager in Jan 2013.
Activities and responsibilities:
- Technical QA Lead - working with the team through the whole range of activities: feature design, test plan creation and execution, automation writing, maintenance, execution.
- Shaping the QA strategies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Axway quality goals. Reporting and metrics management.
- Agile development - 10-15 minute long daily standups with 1- or 2-weeks long iterations. Close collaboration within a team of 3-4 QA and 4-5 DEV engineers.
- Backlog meetings twice a week for backlog grooming - writing stories, triaging defects, scoping releases.
- Personnel management - guiding, and growing the people, hiring, administrative work.
