Shilpa Shah is the Co-Founder of Cuyana, a pioneering fashion brand in the changing e-commerce and retail spaces. Cuyana successfully marries luxury-level branding with premium quality apparel and accessories, offering "fewer, better things" to women at accessible price points.
She brings over 14 years of design and development expertise, leading teams and driving innovative interface solutions for a variety of mobile, web, and software projects. In 2012, Shilpa completed the full-time MBA program at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. She co-founded Cuyana in January 2012, during her last semester.
At Punchcut, a leading mobile design company, she led the interaction, visual, and functional design projects as the Design Director of Solutions. Her clients ranged across the digital stack from the hardware layer for mobile manufacturers such as Motorola & Sun Microsystems to consumer-facing application layers for mobile carriers such as AT&T & T-Mobile.
Prior to joining Punchcut, Shilpa was the Director of Interaction Design at the Coalition of Essential Schools, where she was able to apply her UX expertise to the non-profit sector, contributing to underserved user groups: high school parents, teachers, and students. Before CES, she was the Manager of Information Architecture for Walt Disney in the parks and resorts division, where she had the privilege of translating the offline Disney park experience into rich, interactive websites such as Disneyland.com, Disneyworld.com, and 23 other affiliated Disney web properties. She developed her immense love for mobile and convergent experiences as a Senior Information Architect at Scient, where she helped pioneer user experiences for Any2Any, an internal group working towards convergent digital ecosystems from 1999-2000.
