From May 2013 to December 2013 (8 months) Automation Framework Engineer @ SugarCRM Responsible for the agile development of an open source java testing automation framework called candybean. Responsibilities included implementing new features for the next release of Candybean such as support for parallelization and architectural design changes to the framework. I was often able to go above and beyond the bi-weekly scrum requirements and learned new software and technologies such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Appium, WebDriver, Agile development, Jenkins, Sonar, and JIRA. I was also given the opportunity to continue working part-time remotely upon the end of my internship, and was awarded with highest distinction for my internship evaluation. From January 2014 to April 2014 (4 months) Programmer/Analyst @ TELUS Designed and developed a web application to demonstrate improvements in the database transaction throughput after the department proposed a data migration effort to modernize its database systems. In an effort to facilitate the process of finding inconsistencies between deployment environments, I designed and developed a stand-alone Java utility to report the health and status of all database and application servers between environments. Web Application Design was done using tools like Borland Together and StarUML. Storyboard and Wireframe designs using Microsoft Visio and GWT Design Tools. Web Application Development was done in Java using the Spring Framework and Google Web Toolkit. Integration with SOAP web services.Tools for development include:Eclipse Helios,Clearcase for version control.FireBug for front-end debugging.Maven for build automation. From September 2012 to December 2012 (4 months) Software Developer @ IBM Undertook a developing role for a large-scale enterprise web application in which I helped design and develop a framework to dynamically generate web forms. In the process, I was highly recognized for the creation of a JSP Custom Tag Library used to facilitate the generation of many web forms through programming techniques like reflection and the singleton design pattern. I also worked alongside the lead architect to implement web services that were to be consumed by many applications. I demonstrated my leadership ability after being given the role of mentoring members of the team who were scheduled to take over my tasks and responsibilities.Web Application and Web services development was done using Rational Software Architect. Front-End development for web application was done using IBM-OneUI toolkit built upon Dojo toolkit, combined with Spring MVC architecture and Java Server Pages. JAXB was used for xml binding. Spring IOC container for bean life-cycle management. Creation of JavaServer Pages Tag Libraries for reusable and generic form generation. Reflection for dynamic binding.
