I transitioned from Active Duty in 2012 after 20+ years of Active Duty military service having successfully moved through the ranks of Airman 1st Class to Lieutenant Colonel. I also have over 20 years of Information Technology experience varying from the tactical to a more strategic enterprise-level approach. The highlight of my career was to be selected to Command the same exact Squadron I went through Air Force Basic Military Training School as an Airman Basic 20 years earlier.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, I first entered the Air Force Reserves in 1988 as an Aerial Cargo Specialist and was later commissioned onto active duty through Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) in August 1991 at the University of Massachusetts /Amherst, Detachment 370. During this time, I took two years of Army and two years of Air Force ROTC. I hold the Basic Transportation & Senior Cyberspace / Communications & Information badges.
I have held a wide range of assignments, to include Squadron Commander, Detachment Commander, Flight Commander, Squadron Section Commander, Technical Training Instructor and Executive Officer, as well as Program Manager, Deputy Division Chief and Communications Officer in a variety of Materiel Command and defense agency assignments.
My combat deployments include Chief of Management Information Systems for Combined Joint task Force Fervent Archer during OPERATION JOINT FORGE and CJ6 future plans and Liaison Officer for Combined Forces Command - Afghanistan.
Prior to my last assignment at the Pentagon, I commanded the 323rd Training Squadron at Lackland AFB, daily leading over 50 Military Training Instructors (MTIs) and 1,000 Air Force basic military training trainees.
