I am an innovator, researcher, and entrepreneur in the use of Technology for improving Health. I lead both research and commercial operations of Tech4Life Enterprises, which is socially motivated organization with the mission to improve health of the population through Telemedicine and Point-of-care diagnostics. My past experience includes working as the Adviser on Evidence, Capacity and Policy at the mHealth Alliance, United Nations Foundation, and Director of the eHealth Resource Center for the Aga Khan Development Network in Nairobi, Kenya and Karachi, Pakistan. I got my medical degree from Aga Khan University, and M.Sc and PhD in Health Research and Global eHealth from University of Calgary, Canada. I have led eHealth initiatives in over 10 countries of South and Central Asia and East Africa, along with leading the PAN Asian Collaboration for evidence-based e-Health Adoption and Application (PANACeA), a network funded by International Development Resource Center Canada for supporting collaborative research in several Asian countries. I have been the recipient of several awards, such as Rising Star in Global Health by Grand Challenges Canada, and Grand Challenges award for improving mental health in Northern Afghanistan. I have written over 50 papers and book chapters, acquired 7 patents, and published tools for organizational readiness assessment, and evaluation of eHealth initiatives.
