In 2011, she moved to UC Irvine as a postdoctoral researcher and was part of the team that designed and implemented a machine learning and natural language processing kernel for the Hewlett-Packard Research Laboratories’ TensorFlow software library.Since she joined the University of California, Irvine, Sanghvi has been research associate at UC Irvine’s Institute for Data and Knowledge Sciences, member of the UC Irvine computer security and privacy research group, postdoctoral associate at the UC Irvine Atkinson Laboratory for Computational Intelligence, and research associate at the UC Irvine Measurement and Analysis Center.According to her CV, Sanghvi is “an expert in using advanced machine learning and Natural Language Processing techniques to explore and analyze large-scale data sets. Her research focuses on large-scale probabilistic understanding of natural phenomena, including portraits, financial markets, evolutionary tree analysis and machine learning algorithms.”In her oral presentation at the Seventh IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Applications, "Probabilistic Understanding of Natural Phenomena using Machine Learning Algorithms," Sanghvi showed that she had developed a probabilistic understanding algorithm that can understand portraits of human beings.
