Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Sergio Griffa came to the United States at the age of thirteen, when he and his family moved to the city of New York. Griffa attended Hunter College, where he earned a B.S. in Economics. After attending Hunter College, Griffa moved to Chicago and went to work for the local accounting company. Griffa worked for the accounting company for six years and then decided to move to Spain to become a representative for a newly formed international trading company. Griffa worked for the company for two years and then decided to come back to the United States and become the company’s accountant. Griffa then returned to Spain and worked for the Spanish accounting company for four years. Griffa then decided to come back to the United States and become a financial advisor. Griffa worked for a financial advisor company for two years and then decided to create his own financial advisor company.
