Seema Iyer's education and work readiness:Seema Iyer has a Master's degree in Information Technology from California Institute of Management & Technology. Iyer has acted as a Co-Director at the Indian American Chamber of Commerce and Industry in San Francisco, CA from 2003-2005. Iyer then joined ITC, a leading technology company, in 2005 as a Vice President. From there, Iyer moved up within the company to become their President and Chief Operating Officer in the spring of 2016. Iyer is currently a Board Member at ITC and has played an active role in initiating, developing and managing the company's technology initiatives. Iyer is also a Member of the boards of directors of the San Francisco Cultural District, the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, and the MacArthur Foundation.Iyer has a long history of leadership and commitment to leadership development. Iyer has been a keynote speaker at a number of collegiate-level conferences andtraining events and has authored or co-authored a number of influential books and articles on the subject of leadership development. Iyer is a member of the Academy of Chiefs of Police, the Leadership Foundation and the Council for Exceptional Chiefs. Iyer also chairs the Executive Committee for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and is a full-time member. Iyer's involvement in leading and developing leadership programs has yielded valuable lessons for Iyer and her peers.
