I am responsible for the direct management of 8 quality technicians and one Quality Engineer in a two plant, three shift operation that manufacturers and assembles electromagnetic/electro-mechanical clutches, and electrical coils. In addition to these duties I have maintained ownership of the Quality Engineering function over our Agricultural/Industrial product lines.
Additionally, I am responsible for ensuring compliance to, and maintenance of Warner's ISO9001-2000 quality program. This includes organization of internal audits, management of corrective/preventive action system, document control, and preparation and presentation of bi-annual management review information.
Our organization utilizes lean concepts to pursue continual improvements. While not officially six sigma, we employ the common tools; kaizen, standard work, SMED, VSM. I have both participated in, and led, many of these events. I am currently entertaining pursuing a six sigma green belt through ASQ as well as the CQM/OE certificate.
Quality Engineer-Responsible for customer and supplier PPAP, evaluation of customer warranty returns, participation in, and organization of, 8d problem solving teams. process studies, and continual improvement. I recently acquired the Certified Quality Engineer designation from the American Society for Quality, and completed ABS (Altra Industrial Motion's lean program) leadership training.
Quality Manager of an ISO 9000:2001 tier 3 automotive supplier. Exposure to Lean methodologies. Experience with PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, 8d problem solving, and other AIAG requirements and methods. Managed up to 3 quality technicians and acted as Quality Engineer as well as Quality Manager.

Our quality department, at it's peak, consisted of 3 quality techs and myself. I assumed both the role of quality manager and quality engineer as well as customer liaison. From June 2005 to February 2009 (3 years 9 months) Technical Sales & Service Representative @ I sold and serviced metal finishing chemistry such as, plating bath brighteners and wetters, alkaline/non-alkaline cleaners, chromate conversion coatings for plated products as well as a host of other cleaners and post treatments for various metal products.
