About Scott Lux

💼 Past Experience

Born in 1983 in Tacoma, WA, Scott Lux moved to New York City in September 2001 to pursue a career in web design and marketing. After relocating to Manhattan, he started his own web design and marketing firm, The Ember Company, which he still leads and runs today. At Ember, Lux functioned as both the program manager for the company’s ecommerce program and also produced and managed all marketing and social media content for the company. In his previous roles, Lux has supervised team efforts that created and executed marketing, product, and strategicideos for a number of key accounts, including Nike, IBM, and L’Oréal.Lux has also held several non-traditional positions in corporations throughout his career. He began his career at Washington Mutual, where he served as the company’s ecommerce program manager, and then held several non-management positions at Chase before making the move to Infospace in 1999. There he was responsible for developing and managing the company’s ecommerce program and also managed the company’s venturing into the online-commerce market. As a financial consultant, Lux was also responsible for developing and implementing marketing and business strategies for a variety of clients, including Fidelity Investments, American Express, and Morgans Hotel Group.Most recently, Lux has been associated with Chase as thevice president of Product Management for Online Banking. In this role, he is responsible for managing all aspects of Chase’s product portfolio, from innovations like company-branded mobile apps to the marketing and strategy for global currency exchange operations. As Product Manager for Online Banking, Lux is a key player in the company’s ongoing effort to improveOrchestrated account management and convenience for consumers.One of Scott Lux’s goals for his new position has been to build on the company’s current product strategy, expanding on the department’s accomplishments in global currency exchange, and further developing the company’s relationship with its customers. He has also focuses on areas where the company could make significant strides, such as prehistoric technology and eco-friendly manufacturing practices.Lux’s work experiences have real-world implications for consumers and businesses.
