💼 Past Experience

redundant areas and the Scrum methodDuring my time as Regional Director at Aon Consulting Worldwide, I worked on various projects, some of which required overtime. I noticed that, often times, redundant areas showed up in projects - and the Scrum method was no exception. The Scrum method became a way for me to ensure that every project was run efficiently and that everyone was on board with the Key responsibility and goal - which eliminated any potential conflict. In my previous roles, I had successfully used other methods - such as PMBOK and Kanban - so I knew that Scrum wasn't the answer for everyone. However, I felt that it would be an efficient way to manage and lead projects. I wanted to use it in my current role and see if it would be an effective tool for Talent Acquisition.However, my experience with the Scrum method was less than perfect. In my previous roles, I had successfully used other methods - such as PMBOK and Kanban - so I knew that Scrum wasn't the answer for everyone. However, I felt that it would be an efficient way to manage and lead projects. I wanted to use it in my current role and see if it would be an effective tool for Talent Acquisition. I tried different methods during my time as Regional Director - such as the pyramid method and user delegation - but nothing worked. I began to believe that Scrum wasn't the answer for everyone and that others could benefit from using other methods.In my current role, I have adopted the strategy of using the blocking method. The blocking method is an effective tool for preventing conflicts and inhibiting dysfunction. It is dead simple - you create a block in the Scrum process and everyone works on a different task at the same time. This gives everyone a clear understanding of the key responsibility and goal. The blocking method is a great way to reduce the risk of any conflict and to help everyone get on the same page.Overall, I believe that the blocking method is an effective way to manage and lead projects and that it will work for Talent Acquisition as well. I hope that my experience will help other businesses adopt the blocking method and ensure a successful Talent Acquisition process.
