💼 Past Experience

Prior to joining PDT BU Takeda, Sascha spent eight years as an Analyst at Fresenius Kabi in Germany, where she worked on a variety of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs projects. Her previous work experience contributes to her ability to lead complex projects and understand complex regulatory issues. Prior to her current role at Takeda, Sascha also served as a Research Associate at the University of Utah, where she concentrated on focused research on human diseases caused by hyperimmune globulin (CoVID, CMV, Giardia lamblia). Sascha’s research focuses on understanding how hyperimmune globulin factors can impact organ function and disease. Sascha earlier held original research funding from the NIH Clinical Research Center in Hisashi Kondo’s lab in Japan.

🎓 Education

Sascha Haverfield's educational background and work readiness are based on her Doctorate (DPhil/PhD) from University of Oxford and Diploma (BSc/MSc) from The Philipp University of Marburg where she studied Biology. Sascha Haverfield has also worked as a research scientist at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge where she is currently employed as a lecturer in the Department of Genetics.

💡 Technical & Interpersonal Skills

Prior to this position, Sascha worked as a Research and Development Analyst in the Immunology and Vaccines Branch of Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA Asia Pacific. In this position, Sascha directed and developed anti-COVID-19 Phase III clinical trials for the company in a region that has high potential for the development of antiviral therapy. Additionally, Sascha was responsible for overseeing all medicinal products development across the Asia Pacific region.Haverfield holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he also received his M.S. in Veterinary Medicine. He also has a Master’s degree in Genetics from the University of Cambridge, UK. Haverfield has been practicing Veterinary medicine since 2001, and has worked in kidney and heart disease patients, diabetic patients, and other hospitalized patients.
