Sarah Basey has a BA (hons) from Nottingham Trent University where she completed Government & Public Policy Politics and Policy Making in January 1993. She then went on to complete a UK-wide apprenticeship as a management professional with Dover & Roper from October 1997 to October 1999. After completing her apprenticeship, Sarah worked as a management professional for Towers Watson LLP from October 1999 to October 2004. Sarah then worked as a general manager for McKinsey & Company from October 2004 to February 2009. Her last role was as the Corporate Manager for the Africa Region at Booz, Inc. From February 2009 to January 2011, Sarah was the Director of Corporate Development at HP Inc. From January 2011 to present, Sarah is the Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors of the University of Nottingham.
