I have a PhD in Biological Chemistry from Imperial College’s Chemical Biology Doctoral Training Centre, focusing on aspects of molecular biology, organic synthesis and biophysical techniques to investigate cancers. Having completed my PhD I am now keen to broaden my skill set and face new challenges outside of the research environment. Through my PhD I have demonstrated a range of transferable skills: an ability to rapidly assimilate new information and techniques; to analyse and interpret different types of data; to work on my own as well as part of team; to be proactive; excellent communication skills through written and oral presentations both internally and at external conferences; working knowledge of a range on computer software, including Microsoft Office (2010/97), Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator; consultancy and mentoring skills in advising colleagues and students.
