Salman Musthafa studied computer science and engineering at Government College of Engineering, Kannur. Currently, he is pursuing his degree in information security and automation from IIT Kanpur. Salman started his career in early 2009 as a clerk in a software company where he worked for four years. In early 2012, Salman was recruited as an engineer at think tank Victoria Institute of Technology (VIT). He is currently working as an engineer at the influential think tank, Institute for Advanced Study (IAS). He is also a visiting scholar at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
