Sally Williamson is a broadcast journalist and image management specialist with almost 20 years of experience in the broadcast and digital media industries. Sally first landed a job in the industry as a news intern at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia in October 1979. At the age of 19, Williamson was the youngest person ever hired by the station. Williamson spent the next three years working in the newsroom and then moved on to become a photojournalist. In 1983, Williamson moved to Los Angeles to become a news anchor for KNBC-TV. After a year as a anchor at KNBC-TV, Williamson moved to WPBS-TV in Philadelphia as a news anchor. In 1986, Williamson returned to Atlanta to become a news anchor for WXIA-TV. After two years as the anchorman for WXIA-TV, Williamson left the station to become the business reporter for WXIA-TV, a position she held until her retirement in 2012. The business reporter position was key in helping Williamson develop her business acumen and create successful reports and stories in the industry. Williamson has also taught at the University of Georgia in the United States Broadcast Journalism program since 2004. Williamson is a well-known name in the broadcasting and media industries, having worked as a news anchor, business reporter, and image management specialist. Williamson is currently a professor at the University of Georgia in the United States Broadcast Journalism program and has taught at the school since 2004.
