Sales, Product and Support:Sal Macedonio has worked with sales and product support within the medical device industry for approximately 10 years. His experience includes working with both internal and external customers. Within the medical device industry, he has been a Research Microscope Specialist at Leica Microsystems, and NE Sales Manager at CaliberID. As a Research Microscope Specialist, he has worked on a range of medical devices, including microscope slide tests, Image Analyzers, and Exact fluorescent microscopes. In his previous roles, Sal has been a vital part of Zeiss LLC’s senior account management team, working with a wide range of clients, from industrial customers to healthcare institutions.Sal has a Masters in Doctor of Science in Chemistry from Swarthmore College, where he also studied biology and physics. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, playing music and spending time with his wife and two children.

Sal Macedonio has a BS in Biology from SUNY at a time when SUNY was a groundbreaking institution in the field of biology. Macedonio also has a BS Biology from Stony Brook University, where he was a standout standout in the school's Biology department. Macedonio has since completed his undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University and is now a graduate student at Cornell Lab of Life Sciences, studying plant regulatory networks.Macedonio has a future opportunity to do great work in plant and animal regulatory networks, as he is currently in a Master's Thesis at Cornell Lab of Life Sciences studying plant regulatory networks. Macedonio's education is grounded in research and practicum experience, which has equipped him with the skills and knowledge he needs to take on larger research projects. Macedonio has a strong desire to stay in research for the rest of his life, and he is constantly looking for ways to increase his research skills and experiences.One of the main reasons Macedonio is so passionate about his research is because he has been able to get a lot of valuable work experience in his previous roles. Macedonio has been an editor for a scientific journal and a reviewer for a sub-cameral journal. Macedonio has also been a lecturer at a few universities and has presented at many scientific events. Macedonio's past research experience has allowed him to develop good judgement and critical thinking skills, which he uses to analyze data and make informed decisions. Macedonio's research experiences and background also ensure that he is well equipped to deal with difficult and complex problems.

He also manage and train sales representatives for Leica Microsystems.A successful Zeiss LLC career began with me when I joined as Senior Account Manager for Zeiss Micro Imaging Inc in January 1989. I worked in the Industry of Medical Devices for over 15 years, making Zeiss one of the most successful companies in the Industry.I am currently a Research Microscope Specialist at Leica Microsystems from March 2010 to March 2013, and NE Sales Manager at CaliberID from June 2017 to August 2019. I have also held various technical positions in the medical device industry, including Research Microscope Specialist and Sales Manager. My experience and skills in the field of microscopy and imaging have prepared me to be a successful professional in the medical device industry.
