As a management consultant, I have worked with clients across diverse industries, including Travel & Tourism, Food & Beverage, Retail, Health & Wellness, Telecom, Energy, and Multimedia/Entertainment. Using a unique lens to assess organizational challenges, I have helped my clients achieve growth objectives, improve profitability, and enter new markets successfully.
I am passionate about helping organizations tackle their complex problems. I am equally passionate about helping others and building high-performing teams. I have a proven track record of developing and leading teams (including recruiting and onboarding), I have led medium-sized teams (approx. 300 individuals with 15 direct reports). In addition to my business experience, I recently completed an interesting dual-degree global MBA program which allowed me to study in 10 different countries around the world (including Canada, Switzerland, Brazil, Argentina, Hungary, China, Hong Kong, India, Turkey, and Dubai). The program provided opportunities to collaborate in team settings with other mid-senior level executives, and I was able to further strengthen my critical thinking and leadership skills in a truly global business environment.
Head of Marketing and Business Development @ Directed all marketing and business development for a new first-class private jet center catering to the global luxury/charter jet market. Starting from scratch and against fierce competition, I developed and implemented an aggressive branding and marketing strategy that captured 45% market share within the first 6 months of launch. My strategies were based on thorough market research and analysis (including both quantitative and qualitative research to better understand the different consumer segments, competitors, and other industry factors). In this role, I also recruited, trained, and managed a highly motivated team who consistently exceeded client expectations, leading to 100% new client retention. From February 2007 to January 2008 (1 year) Vice President of Sales @ Led all sales and business development for the company, with a specific focus on improving sales during an economic drought and launching a new business unit capitalizing on partnerships across the industry. Built, managed, and led a team of 300+ individuals (15 direct reports).
• Developed aggressive strategies that reversed stagnant sales and increased gross monthly sales from $250K to just under $1 million
• Focused on increasing revenues within current accounts while concurrently pursuing and closing new contracts and establishing new channels (including online). From December 2005 to December 2006 (1 year 1 month) Regional Manager @ Within one year became the Top RM in the company based on top-line sales, profitability, lowest staff turnover, etc. Collaborated directly with the CEO to develop go-to-market strategies and was the key RM charged with implementing company-wide operations, training, sales, and management systems.
• Launched 12 new locations across the region from the ground up, including research and selection of locations, recruiting and training staff, prospecting new clients, and providing ongoing operational, sales training and leadership to a team of 70 staff
• Recognized corporately as a “Top Manager” and selected to provide sales & leadership training to other Regional Managers and their teams, overseeing a multi-unit retail business of 38 locations across Canada. From September 2004 to December 2005 (1 year 4 months) Sales Manager @ Sold energy contracts to large volume commercial users. Gained rapid promotion to 'Sales Manager' after generating top results as a direct sales representative.
• Recruited, trained, and led a high-performing team of 6 direct sales reps, many of whom were later selected for Manager and Regional Manager positions (harnessed the ability to develop future leaders). Provided mentorship and sales training to a team of 30 individuals. From February 2000 to September 2004 (4 years 8 months)
