💼 Past Experience

Sadik Kassim has worked in a number of different technical positions at Vor Biopharma between March 2018-January 2019. In this role, he led the technical operations teams responsible for the scale out and manufacturing of Vor's investigational drug product, CRISPR engineered hematopoietic stem cell (eHSC) therapies for AML, as well as the team responsible for establishing and scaling out Vor's Cancer Immunotherapy efforts. He also led the hiring and build out of the following teams: pre-clinical, process development, analytical development, and manufacturing. As Chief Technology Officer at Vor Biopharma, he also established and led overall process development, analytical development, and manufacturing strategy for novel gene therapies, including Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR-T) cellular immunotherapies for glioblastoma, AML, lymphoma, and other indications. In addition to these responsibilities, he was also responsible for overseeing the transfer of research-based manufacturing methodologies into process development and developing industrial processes to ensure robust manufacturing at scale. As Executive Director, Process Design at Kite Pharma, Sadik Kassim led a team of 41 engineers and scientists who were responsible for the design and development of manufacturing processes for CAR and TCR based autologous gene modified cell therapy products for the Kite pipeline. Furthermore, his team contributed to the successful BLA filing and approval of Tecartus for relapsed/refractory Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Furthermore, he also served as the Head of Analytical/Biomarker Discovery Strategy for non-pivotal PoC clinical trials of CAR-T cell immunotherapies at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
