Founded in 2010, we launched the company as a new way to tell stories of people’s lives—the people most important to us. 1000memories raised a $3 million Series A and was backed some of the world's leading investors including Greylock Partners, Y Combinator, SV Angel, Lowercase Capital, and more. From February 2010 to October 2013 (3 years 9 months) San Francisco Bay AreaCopywriter / AD @ Helped create award-winning campaigns for Levi's and the Oscar-nominated movie Coraline. As part of the team that pitched the "Go Forth" concept to Levi's, we produced the original Go Forth campaign (TV/print/OOH) that continues to identify the Levi's brand today. Our team also produced the groundbreaking marketing campaign for Coraline, which ultimately doubled its expected box office gross and became Focus Features' second highest-grossing movie of all time. From July 2008 to February 2010 (1 year 8 months) Portland, Oregon AreaCofounder @ Border Film Project is a book (distributed by American Apparel) and collaborative art project that gave disposable cameras to migrants and Minutemen on opposite sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. The Border Film Project exhibited at 15 venues across the United States and Mexico, including NYU, SMoCA, and Harvard. From 2005 to 2008 (3 years) US/Mexico BorderProjects Director @ Responsible for conceptualizing and producing user-generated projects featured on the back page of GOOD Magazine. Most notably, I created Newspaper 2.0, a graffiti art project that sought to inject new media into an old medium by enlisting Wooster Collective artists and GOOD readers to alter the front page of their local newspaper.
