Looking back, I guess I've never really done well with following standards and always preferred wandering the beaten path. Starting from my elementary days, I remember getting in fights with my teachers about wanting to do things differently (sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse). I think one of the reasons why I fell in love with software development at a young age was because I viewed it as my canvas for imagination and creative freedom.
Years later, after my parents told me they wouldn't buy me every video game I wanted (reality check), I decided to sharped my engineering skills and create an ecomerence solution to power business's retail efforts online. Managing that for a few year's winded me at UCLA to study pure mathematics and astrophysics, where I ended up dropping out off to start a mobile app development agency in 2011. Tackling the new emerging mobile industry was nothing but an amazing learning experience and ultimately led me to learn about my passion in AdTech.
Coming onboard at Channel Factory to lead its product and technology initiatives while headquartered out of an apartment in downtown LA taught me the ins and outs of AdTech. As one of the first YouTube seeding experts, we bootstrapped and grew the business to a client base of over 350+ of the Fortune 500 brands and the rest is history.
In early 2014, I partnered up with Dave Gullo to co-found VideoAmp, a programmatic video advertising platform built from the ground up to plan, buy, optimize and measure video ads across television, mobile, tablet and desktop.
In my free time, I enjoy being active, obsessing over life hacks, investing and advising StartUps.
