I am the Kenneth Jay Pollin Professor of Cardiology and the Director of the Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Heart Disease. I played the pivotal role in establishing the Ciccarone Center in memory of the legendary Hopkins athlete and lacrosse coach Henry Ciccarone, who died after his third heart attack at age 50.
