In East San Jose specifically, 96% of graduating seniors do not graduate from a 4-year college. This year 88% of ACE's first graduating class is college eligible. Coordinate, cultivate and drive strategy to staff five schools by creating a sustainable, data-driven forward looking analysis and process to align our hiring procedures. Build and leverage relationships with key talent pipelines through collaboration, engagement and partnerships. From July 2015 to Present (6 months) Associate Director of Admissions & Recruitment @ Developed and implemented multiple targeted recruitment plans to recruit a diverse pool of interns for Fortune 500 companies based in Silicon Valley. Trained staff nationwide on Innovative Recruitment Strategies. Self-directed, independent initiator who thrives in a fast-paced work environment, while functioning on the principle that measured progress is best obtainable in a collaborative setting with motivated colleagues moving toward a shared vision. From January 2013 to July 2015 (2 years 7 months) ILP Case Manager @ Recruited corporations, volunteers and mentors to provide dynamic workshops for ILP youth. Managed an active caseload of 50+, managed Case Aides, San Jose State Interns as well as numerous volunteers. Facilitated training's and trained staff on Safety Precautions, Managing Explosive Clients and Conflict Resolution. Developed and fostered relationships with key community partners and government programs to help advocate for Santa Clara Counties Foster Youth. SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS 1. Ensured that 75% of my caseload was either pursuing higher education, on track for high school graduation or GED and contributing to the workforce. 2. Developed and facilitated the ILP Fitness program. Which helped youth relieve stress and give youth a healthy outlet. From September 2010 to January 2013 (2 years 5 months) Milieu Activity Therapist II @ Counseled, supervised and coordinated mental health rehabilitation groups for dual diagnosis clients at a Level 14 facility. Consulted with clinicians, psychiatrist and specialists on client’s behavioral plan. Worked diligently in areas of recruiting new talent, scheduling of interviews, RCL hour data collection, grant writing, book-keeping and acted as the community liaison. Trained new and existing staff on mental health notes as well mental health note auditing. SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS 1. Key contributor to the research for "What It Really Takes to Implement Evidence-Based Practices in Community Focused Services". 2. Developed and revised all documents that were utilized by a state wide agency within 20+ counties. From June 2002 to September 2010 (8 years 4 months) Youth & Family Specialist II @ Instructed a weekly life skills class for the Restorative Justice Program and managed community service hours for all program participants. Executed numerous grant writing opportunities to help keep programs afloat. Developed community partnerships and recruited volunteers, mentors and advocates for the Restorative Justice Program. SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS 1.Managed an active caseload of forty Washington/ Willow Glen first time offenders, with a success rate of 93%. 2. Wrote, designed and produced a curriculum used for the Santa Clara County Juvenile Probation Department's Restorative Justice Program. From March 2000 to May 2002 (2 years 3 months) Senior Recreation Specialist @ Worked meticulously in building six successful L.E.A.R.N.S sites throughout the San Jose and Campbell communities. The L.E.A.R.N.S sites serviced youth in the areas of homework assistance, healthy nutrition and fun physical activity. Community liaison with success in building lasting relationships with various schools districts and neighborhood community based organizations. Worked in collaboration with the San Jose Police Department and Mayors Gang Task Force to help decrease gang violence. Expert on early prevention and intervention practices. SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS 1. Met and exceeded goals of ensuring each site was at 100% capacity 2. Ensure that our sites had an overall participant satisfaction rate of 90%.
