Work Experiences and Some Key Developments:Rodney Pierini began his career as a Project Manager at The Boeing Co., then moved up through the ranks at Boeing subsidiary Federal Aircraft Co., eventually becoming Assistant Assistant Administrator for Airworthiness for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He was then soon promoted to Assistant Administrator for Air Force Programs.In this latter role, Pierini led the development of the FAA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) labs and made significant contributions to the development of the space Shuttle, which he started managing in 1981. He also was responsible for developing the frighteningly innovative air traffic controller system and inaugurating the first commercial airline service in the United States.Pierini then served as Vice President, Boeing Defense and Space until his retirement in 1993.1988-1993 - Rogers-Marriott Corporation, currently known as Marriott International Inc.President & CEO, Rogers-Marriott Corporation, from 1988 to 1993.
